Okay, anyone who knows me knows that I'm a huge Christopher Marlowe fan, and also a fan of books like John M. Ford's The Scholars of NIght, a nifty little spy novel centering on a lost Marlowe manuscript.

So, now there's a spy novel/murder mystery focusing on Marlowe? Why the hell didn't anyone tell me about this?

ETA: And speaking of John M. Ford, how did I fail to notice that there was a new collection of his work released last fall?

*sigh* One day I'll have a wishlist with fewer than 400 items. I swear.

Fate (*pulling out Sony Clie*): Mmm... [livejournal.com profile] yendi... time to fuck with him a bit with a little mind-blowing out-of-the-blue revelation. That should be entertaining...

(I am of the opinion that Fate is a closet sadist)

For lots of material on Marlowe and Shakespeare I recommend reading [livejournal.com profile] riba_rambles she's a big fan of both, does reviews of plays and books on them and is very knowledgable about what is out there in general.

Have you read Melissa Scott's "The Armor of Light"? IIRC Kit Marlowe features in it.
