So, how bad is Stealth?

One of the few positive reviews, Josh Tyler's three-star take at Cinemablend.com, gives it props on the grounds that "Stealth is a movie so bad, it’s almost good."

As for the really negative reviews:

Local critic Eleanor Ringel-Gillespie: Move over, Michael Bay. "The Island" is no longer the loudest, dumbest movie of the summer.

[livejournal.com profile] sweinberg: "This movie hated me from the opening scene; two hours later, it was mutual."

Roger Ebert: 'Stealth" is an offense against taste, intelligence and the noise pollution code

Yeah, looks like we've got a winner here!

Almost almost sounds as good as that sin city trash.

Yet another summer movie that I will be skipping.

I knew just from the poster that I'd rather gargle with acid than sit through this FPOS.

You mean Josh *Tyler*'s review at Cinemablend.com -- Josh *Lucas* is actually in the movie! ;)

Does that mean the plane gets stopped by Jaime Foxx's singing?

I'll see it at the dollar theater just to watch the cool visual effects.

And they wonder why folks dont go to theaters anymore?

Regal Cinemas, the largest theater chain in the US, has a current stock price of 19 cents...

On a happier note, saw Batman Begins Wed...was a very happy boy when I left...VERY worth it

Of course right now the film everyone speaks of here in the Bluff City is Hustle and Flow..

Regal just bought the theater closest to me. First thing they did was raise ticket and snack prices. Bah.

Don't get me wrong, I didn't love the Island, but it was a good enough popcorn movie. Scarlett Johansson is hot. Steve Buscemi gets killed, and that's always a plus. A lot of product placement; the movie should have been called Microsoft Island 1.0.

What do you recomment in theaters right now?
