1. The WB, in a fit of asshattery stolen from ABC, has decided to play a game of Tivo busting, and is running the season finale of Gilmore Girls two extra minutes tonight. Now, if Gilmore Girls were actually good this year, that would be one thing. But since GG isn't a tenth as good as either House or Veronica Mars (the shows it's hoping to knock out at 9), we're telling them to go fuck themselves, and cutting the show off at 9. That said, anyone who sticks with it, please feel free to spoil those final two minutes in the comment section.

2. The iTunes store now sells episodes of Buffy and Firefly. No Angel, though.

3. Big Love just keeps getting better and better. And a lot of that rests on Chloƫ Sevigny; casting her was an inspired choice. Not that the rest of the cast is shabby, either.

4. Still haven't watched the most recent Sopranos or Medium, nor have we seen any Prison Break eps since the hiatus. Seriously. We're going to have a marathon soon.

5. Am very concerned about the upcoming two-part season finale of CSI. The clues at the picture they've posted make things look really bad for one of my favorite characters. Although they keep changing things there, and I suspect they're being deliberately vague.

6. Finally, Lost fans can visit the Hanso Foundation online.

You should mention that the password for the Hanso foundation is "breaking strain". And the phone number is 1-877-HANSORG. If you TIVO through the commercials, you might have missed that.

Can't you set your TIVO to start and end earlier and later than the actual show? That's one of the things I love about my DVR; I can set it to start up to 10 minutes early and end recording 10 minutes later than the scheduled time on a show; that way I know I don't miss anything.

And I agree about Big Love; I am totally hooked. Nicki just...Ugh, she's such a manipulative little bitch, and just when you think she's finally going to come clean, she pulls something else. I guess that really shows her relationship to Roman very clearly.

Hm.

Hover the magnifier over the neon sign in that picture!

More specifically, she appears to be looking at the corpse when you mouse over her.

And is the corpse Captain Brass? He's the only regular not otherwise in the photo. And there's a bit of gold on his jacket, near the right thigh, that could be a police badge.

But I've never seen Brass wear a hat like that.

We were theorizing that it's Brass; we really hope it's not, because we love him...

(This is not the royal We.)

I like him, too. But it doesn't look good; Brass's whole character is based around looking tired and rumpled, and the corpse in the picture is a perfect match.

You can actually see that it's a badge if you look closely..

My guess, based on the neon sign, is that there's going to be some sort of "playing dead" going on.

Tracing Sarah's eye direction, it looks like she's staring right at the bullet hole in the back.

Brass is one of my favorite characters, too :/

*nods* I was very relieved to see the sign change!

It'll be a nerve-wracking few weeks on the TV, what with that and the season finale of Veronica Mars.

So Sara goes crazy and kills Brass. I was always waiting for the "Sara Sidle maniac" pun to be played.

A couple more changes: (obvious) Gil turns to look at something and (not so obvious) one of the hotels in the background vanishes. Anything else you've noticed?

My mother-in-law is taping Gilmore Girls for us (we don't have cable)...she's been notified of the time-thing. So I'll let you know how it ends after we watch.

But...but...I hate her so much...sometimes? Arggghh, She makes me crazy.

So, on a completely different note, I was talking to another of your readers the other day, and we think you need to write a book.

We were both saying how much we think your Pop Culture commentary is outstanding, and we especially dig your Halloween/ F13/ NoES countdowns. In fact, we think that they, along with other similar things, should be in your first book.

Mail me a draft by, say, Tuesday. (next Tuesday, of course)

Thanks

Gr. Well, thanks for posting that. I would have been screaming at the DVR at 1am otherwise. I've stopped watching at least 4 shows because of this time overlap thing. Very annoying to say the least.

"Luckily" for me its basketball playoffs. Which means any show I like on UPN gets pre-empted for a Suns game. So I catch VM on the Sunday late-night rerun...

And I forget where I saw it, but the youngest wife character for Big Love has a blog somewhere on the internet...

Man, I'm way behind on Big Love. Maybe I'll try to do some catching up soon. Wacky concept, having actual TIME to catch up on TV.

I am glad to know that someone else is hooked on Big Love. I am really enthralled. And NOT because of the poly* stuff, but because of the complex intertwined relationships of all the people involved.

GREAT show. I think I heard it got renewed, right?
