The doctor's short-term suggestion is to up my ibuprofen dosage (I try to err on the conservative side when it comes to self-medication), and combine that with a heating pad (or a heating moose, as I'll use). He's thinking tendonitis or something similar (and essentially equal, from a treatment pov). If things are the same in two weeks, we'll look for other options (i.e., do a referral to a specialist).

So, yeah, just popped some ibuprofen and have heated up the moose.

As a person with shoulder /rotator cuff issues, doing stretches specifically for your shoulder and pectoral areas will also help alleviate pain.

Hey, watch it! That's NOT a keyhole!

I has a Heat Sheep (midway down the page) (http://www.thornyrose.com/miscellany.html) full of rice. 30 Seconds in the nuke and the heat lasts 15+ minutes. Verra nice.

Do make sure you follow up promptly; you should not really be using a lot of Ibuprofen over the long term due to potential impact on your kidneys.

Moose, moose, I like a moose.
I've never had anything quite like a moose...

When I had tendinitis in my wrist, physical therapy helped some.
