You know, I'm damned glad I never took that crush meme. Because now, the person who wrote it is violating the privacy of everyone who took it. And although his "Boo Fucking Hoo" response may be accurate (why give out information to someone you can't trust), it doesn't make him any less of an asshole.

And no, I'm not paying him $4 for the results. He doesn't deserve the money. You shouldn't pay him, either.

As for the totals:

for anyone who wants to see how many folks are crushing on me )

Good news -- one of the best plays-turned-into-a-movie about a play, Noises Off..., is coming to DVD! Of course (as you may notice), Amazon has it mislisted as "Nosies Off," which is actually a play about clowns with leprosy. I assume they'll correct that soon. They do have a link to Noises Off... without a typo, but they still list that as not coming to DVD.

Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] laurel for the link and info.

This guy deserves to be on trial as a first-degree murderer. None of this "homicide by negligence" bullshit.

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong's post over here reminds me of one of many reasons I'll never recommend Leo Frankowski's masturbatory Conrad Stargard series (one of the first Mary Sue series of books I ever read).

Pam Holt's latest column is something all writers should read. I'm guilty of #3 quite often, actually.

The Missouri Review has rejected underrated poet George "Shrub" Bush's poem.

Oh no! I'm not the only victim of plagiarism! Some soldiers in Iraq are guilty of it, too!

And finally, iTunes for Windows comes out next week!

No new episodes for a while, but the next new one (October 27) will be Fright House, and the house they're using belongs to Mike Muir (lead singer of Suicidal Tendencies)!

One thing I haven't been chronicling is that since Saturday, I've been experiencing mild symptoms of an ear (or throat, or sinus, since they all tend to make me react in the same way) infection. It's gotten to the point where I've become grumpier and more anti-social than ever. So I'm seeing a doctor tomorrow (midday), at which point I hope to walk away with a nice 'scrip for amox or whatever that nifty med was I got for my last infection (which took only seven days to run its course). In the meantime, my ears hurt (although since they seem to take turns hurting, I'm inclined to believe that the sinus may be the source).

For future reference, having a child whose voice pitches like Elayna's can make ear infections a wee bit tricky. :-/

Edit: Having a co-worker like the one two cubes away makes this even worse.

mmm, ziti

So, why am I full (to the point of bursting) almost two hours after eating dinner?

Because the wonderful [livejournal.com profile] albumlady decided to grace our home with some food she cooked. She brought about a metric ton of baked ziti, chili, beer bread, brownies, salad, and more. She was even kind enough to label everything so we know what's safe for Elayna. We've got enough food to last a week -- I'm not kidding. Wow. Thanks, [livejournal.com profile] albumlady! You so rock!
