Still cleaning up comments (I've only got about thirty left in my inbox), and not reading LJ very much while I catch up on work. But I had to pop in to wish a happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] morenasangre, [livejournal.com profile] rainstorm13, and [livejournal.com profile] kiwitayro!

Also, Nihilistic_kid pointed me to this entry from Brian Keen's blog. Folks who enjoyed my latest Bookslut column might get a kick out of it.

In between the rest of the insanity, I got a start on my next horror column. I've used the word "penis" more times in the three paragraphs I've written than in every other column combined. Then again, it's my Valentine's Day column.

My goal is to clear out my mailbox (both of work and LJ comments) by the end of the day. Ha!

Gilmore Girls is coming out on DVD! It's about friggin' time.

And last night was the first new non-Bravo TV in a while. We didn't watch Smallville yet, but Angel was fun (fluff, but fun, and fluff episodes are usually a signal that Big Things Are On Their Way).

Oh, and I made chicken chili last night. And it was yummy. And hot.

As for my how my day's going:

Narrator: Will Bullwinkle be able to extricate himself?
Bullwinkle: Sure, as soon as I get loose.

That's all. Back to work

Huh?

So, in need of more music than my 4GB of MP3s, I went to the iTunes radio section to find something to listen to while I worked. Under the "70s/80s Pop" section is something called "Zone 80," which is described as "A French perspective on the music of the '80s." I clicked on it.

And heard "No Scrubs," by TLC.

So I guess the French perspective on the '80s is that they occurred during the late '90s?

It's just wrong that Jodi Benson and Lea Salonga will be best remembered for voicing Disney characters.

Someone, very likely one of you (very likely one of you who live in England), bought me something very nice, but since there's no message, and the name on the Amazon packing slip doesn't match up with any LJ name that I know (and there's no message). I'd love to know who to thank if it's one of you (and I figure if it is, you'll know what I'm talking about), so can both thank you and brag about now owning this really nifty gift.
