Friday!

If this week were an episode of Monster House, my iTunes would be playing that "The Pressure is On" song (and I'd have to take a drink).

Huge, huge, thanks to slvrdream, who bought me The Legion Companion! Woohoo! This thing rocks just as much as I expected, from Jim Shooter reminscing about selling his first Legion script at 13 (thus giving generations of fanboys hope), to Levitz talking about how much the post-reboot LSH sucks. Just amazing. Thanks!

Nice thing about having a fast connection and a G5: I went to the iTunes store, bought the latest album from The Crystal Method (Legion of Boom -- awesome album and a nifty name), and had it burned to CD in less than ten minutes total. No Dark Crystal samples on this one yet, alas. :-)

Finally watched the latest Slashville last night (writer's meeting: "Fuck subtle. Let's tie Lex up and force a gag into his mouth!"). Was okay. Major writing blunders and plot holes aplenty (it's hard to accept that Jeph Loeb puts one tenth the effort into the show than he does into his comics work). And they screwed up and gave Pete five lines instead of three. But otherwise, it was okay.

Work beckons. Which doesn't really make sense, because most things that beckon are supposed to be enticing, and work never is.

Bush's save the family proposal

I wonder if Bush's Save the Family proposal includes advice on not spending money on Japanese prostitutes. Hey, come to think of it, Neil Bush isn't doing anything -- he could head up the commission! Maybe hire Newt Gingrich and Karl Rowe to be on the board. Bet they could save a hell of a lot of marriages that way.
