Thighs: Still sore. Arms are less so, at least. I know I had moving karma I needed to work off, but I'd forgotten just how much of a pain (literally) it is. Then again, maybe if I'd been hitting the gym every once in a while, this wouldn't be the case. :-)

Work-wise, yesterday went well. Today's Friday, which means there are limits to how much it could suck, anyway. Still too busy to keep up with anything else, though.

I've gotten no reading done this week, since I've gotten picked up at work every day by the in-laws (thus, no bus ride), and have been too wiped after the family dinners and stuff. So I'm still only halfway through 1776. Dammit, I need to know what happened! Will the Colonial Army be defeated? Will General Washington escape from the disastrous Battle of Brooklyn? I need closure!

Um, okay. Nonfic doesn't necessarily involve the same kind of suspense. But I'm still planning on getting some serious reading time in this weekend.

We hit Maggiano's last night. Which means I can munch on leftovers for the next week. Yum!

We did find enough free time to finally watch an episode of House. Of course, when you catch the final two episodes of the season before most of the reruns, there's not much suspense in storylines about potential firings.

Oh, and looking at the previews for Reunion (one of the new shows I'm most looking forward to), one of the stars is Gwen Raiden!

Finally, a very happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] docorion!

Images of Hong Kong bootleg DVDs.

Notice, in particular, the MPAA warning on the back of the Dukes of Hazzard one. If it were actually accurate, I might want to see the movie.

Ninja III: The Domination? Not that kind of domination. Sorry.

Still, why isn't this movie on DVD? Possibly the greatest and most over-the-top opening sequence in movie history, and the most ludicrous martial arts this side of Gymkata. Um, which also isn't on DVD.

What's wrong with this world?

[livejournal.com profile] shadesong and I just saw The Aristocrats. The movie was every bit as foul and funny as we expected it to be. And then some.

You will gain new respect for Bob Saget and Gilbert Gottfried. You'll hear Carrie Fisher say things about her mother that you'd never expect. You'll actually laugh at a mime. It's really that damned good.

Just don't bring your children. Or grandma. Or your dog.

Oh, and

Why didn't anyone tell me that Sarah Silverman had a stand-up movie coming out?
