Still swamped. Oh, and the tool I needed to be active this morning is down. God forbid anyone gets any work done before 10.

Watched missed reruns of House and Medium last night, as well as last week's No Reservations (the one with Bourdain in New Jersey). All good, although I really really really hope they write out the middle daughter on Medium. She's got Shirley Temple/Hallie Kate Eisenberg syndrome, and it practically breaks the show.

Now that I've got more icon space, I'm looking for more icons. Anyone know of good locations for DCU, Tick (animated), horror, or anything else that might be nifty? My ideal icon, in fact (if anyone has the time, talent and inclination) would be one of those ipod-icons with Speak from the Tick cartoons, with iSpeak written on it. But yeah, I need more icons than what I've got.

Kid update: Played lots of Powerpuff Girls: Villains at Large (damned fun, and sadly out of print) and Trouble (which will never go out of print, even if there are better games based on the same concept out there). I'm not a huge fan of the latter, but there's nothing wrong with slumming every once in a while. I'm starting to work on the need for her to really think strategically (something relevant even in Trouble) when playing games.

She's having a blast in school, and starting band today! Woohoo!

Still way behind on reading. Two poems away from finishing [livejournal.com profile] yuki_onna's Oracles. Almost finished the latest issue of Rolling Stone (requires less brainpower at the end of the day).

Still not king.

The bridge behind the library is closed off, and there's a sign that reads Bridge Closed -- Dangerous Trees. I so want to see one of them reach down, grab one of the foolish people who snuck under the caution tape instead of walking two minutes out of their way, and chomp down on them. But I think the sign was really referring to the fact that the branches are broken and might fall.

And I didn't get to see anyone crushed by a branch, either.

Finally!

Spray-on Bacon!

And the list of flavors includes things like Sour Cream and Onion, Mochacino, and Banana Split!

I so need to order these. Or see if Taste over in Decatur carries them.

*snort*

The latest season set of the Simpsons comes in a box shaped like Homer's head, which caused some controversy (although I personally love it, and would worship whoever bought it for me until the end of time and/or until my agnostic tendencies kicked back in).

Apparently, for those who aren't happy with the packaging, they've enclosed this card in the set:

ETA: LJ compressed the hell out of that image. Just go here to read the fine print.
