Robocalling: Ur Doing It Wrong

Just checked voicemail.

Had a robocall message from Saxby Chambliss, telling us that Jim Martin is a liar.

There are a few problems with this.

LIke the fact that Chambliss is possibly the least ethical man in the Senate, a man so scummy that John McCain condemned his 2002 campaign. He wouldn't know honesty or ethics if they bit him in his ass.

Or the fact that he's hypocritical enough on war and immigration issues that he stands out even amongst his peers in the Senate.

Or the fact that he even feels the need to campaign this hard in a red state and a seat that should have been safe.

But the biggest problem, of course, is that I couldn't vote for Chambliss even if I smoked five tons of crack and wanted to. You see, Chambliss is running in Georgia, and I live in not-quite-neighboring Massachusetts.

So yeah, the RNC money isn't just wasted on Nieman-Marcus trips. It's also spent on long-distance phone calls to non-voters.

(Aside: I've gotten no calls at all for any local candidates, although it's not like I'd change my mind on any of them at this stage in the game.)

Still sick

Yep. Definitely sick. Taking a sick day and heading up to bed. If books and cats don't help, then surely the Tylenol Cold I took will.

If I'm sick, everyone should suffer

And nothing spells "suffering" while watching the former Lizzie McGuire "covering" a Depeche Mode song while attempting to become this decade's answer to Madonna, circa 1990.

I'm not sure that I didn't just hallucinate the whole thing thanks to cold meds, but if I didn't, and there really is a horrifying embedded video following this, my apologies. You probably deserve better.
