I'm a big Aqua Teen Hunger Force fan. I have no idea why though. The only term that seems to fit is "morbidly fascinated."

Here's my take on it. It's a comedy the gives you this massive suspension of disbelief beforehand. So virtually any situation is funny from the getgo because its so outrageous out of the starting gate. I think all the adult swim natives are based on this principle; Sealab, CTC, Brak show. Sorta like the Terry Pratchett approach with Nightwatch and the like, you begin the story without some explanation as to why there are vampires and werewolves, there just are.
