overwhelmed

I really can't take this anymore. shadesong mentioned this morning that this is like our Thursday, since we're off for Dragoncon this Friday. That would have felt great back when I was local support or a sales guy back at the computer store. But now it means I have to do all the Friday work by tomorrow, too. It's fucking overwhelming. I really, really, really resent Dragoncon for changing the dates to Labor Day weekend. I think this is officially my last Dragoncon, as I simply can't take this stress any more. The choice is leave this job, or stop doing D*C. It's not much of a choice.

This is about the third break I've had from work today. Not because anyone's riding me, but because there's that much to do. I can't let myself be distracted today. And I hate it. I need to breathe.

It's short, and mediocre, but I've got no skill or ability or drive or anything right now. And no, I have no idea why Nick decided to use a big-ass pic of Savage Dragon (only mention in an aside in the colunm), instead of Pantheon.

Fifteen more minutes, and I can start worrying about all this back-to-school shit at home instead of over here. Woofuckinghoo.

The latest Mindset List (the annual list published by Beloit College, detailing how young those college Freshpeople are, and how damned old and crotchety the rest of us are) is out. I'll place it below the cut-tag, but it's fun reading. But don't feel obligated to click on the tag -- I had about a zillion copies of this list forwarded to me last year, and don't doubt it'll make the rounds again.
